Over the past 2 1/2 years I have been travelling extensively through a large portion of Asia ranging from Bhutan, India, Cambodia throughout the rest of Southeast Asia. This has been a most revealing, instructive and meaningful series of experiences for me.
Thus was born “Reverie”, an intimate collection of photographs of Buddhist monks in their unique and distinctive surroundings, reflecting their life choices. This rare time spent in the company of the monks allowed me to absorb the essence and intimacy of their mystic world.
These striking photographs are a limited edition of 8 and display the artist’s personal Chinese seal.
Every image is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
“Evoking the past” is a mystical passage that manages to evoke colours , shapes and character of the ancient past. The significant portion of the photographs are Buddhist sculptures that have laid naked in a face of nature for a very long period of time. The combination of absolutely magnificent, sublime art and simple but powerful force of nature.
The ultimate struggle of who wins the battle rock or wind? The question of does water erode beauty or does enrich it?
It was this feeling of wonder I hoped to capture on my photographs. And it is this feeling that is behind each and every image in this collectio
Life beneath the waves has always fascinated me. As an avid scuba diver and lifelong artist, I started photographing the ‘underworld’. One picture lead to another, then another. The allure of the ever changing and stunning beauty of life within the seas grew. From this fascination my collection of underwater photographs “Aqua Lens” was born.
Simply put, my passion for scuba diving opened up a world full of amazing colours, stunning shapes and unusual forms.
Oceans can be full of surprises. In the “Aqua Lens” collection my objective is to capture the unique world under the water’s surface in the purest of forms. I want this body of work to reflect the unpredictable, mysterious nature of deep waters. Sometimes enigmatic, sometimes dangerous and at other times just wonderfully rich and colourful.
