Gem pointilism is a new concept that combines art with jewellery by ‘painting’ with gemstones.

My journey of creating and developing this started from my passion for scuba diving and love of pearls. One day in Phillipines after diving for several days I took an oportunity to visit the local pearl market. It was beatiful. Pearls of all colours , shapes and sizes were everywher. It was then and there that I was overcome with this idea of a canvas wearing jewellery. I imagined a sea of shimmering pearls forming an image, a message, an impression. That is how I first got the idea for Gem Pointilism.

In my creations I use pearls and semi precious stones to form images. The resulting collages are beatiful, timeless pieces that speak of versatility and modern opulance.

Each work is one of a kind and tailor-made for a specific client. The artist and the buyer discuss the format, theme, colours, gems. The extent of the involvment in the creative process depends on the client’s preferences. The outcome of the collaboration is a truly unique and highly personal piece of art.

In addition to their artistic value, the IQ collages have an added market value of the actual gems used in their creation.Each pearl & stone is cerfully chosen and applied by hand and their value tends to increase with time.
